Nature, guided by a self-evolved design driving it, conducts itself in an orderly fashion. Which is why, such a complex organism with all its myriad field players, have been in perfect harmony and balance, doing their rounds in chorus, with such precision. If the Sun and other planetary bodies are to rise at specified points of time, respectively assigned for them, it will happen exactly at that very moment. And all of them, traversing their individual-specific trajectory would not interfere with other’s domains. Their sense of orderliness is such that simultaneously, they continue to maintain relativity amongst them.

It is a family moving in togetherness, respectively discharging their individual and collective obligations in service of the living order. This sense of orderliness remains undisturbed, because, by design, nature’s field players can’t digress from their predetermined course, even to the scale of a micro second. And if ever, nature’s energy dynamics undergoes some unusual temporary variation, it leads to disastrous events such as cyclone, storm, earthquake, often taking away numerous lives.

The living world too, with all its enormity and diversity, is again framed as a unified organism, with all existences necessarily set into an interdependent framework, with nature serving as its breath and soul. In this scheme of things no individual has a reality independent of the entirety. Evidently, being a part of such a complexed set up, following the model scripted by nature becomes imperative, if at all we wish to ensure a smooth run of life. The irony, however, is that unlike cosmic players of nature, human beings enjoy the freedom to make choices. It entitles human beings to even chart out a self-designated path. But whenever there is choice, it becomes vulnerable to use or misuse in equal measure, and with obvious consequences.    

Yet, one would wish to successfully enjoy all comforts of life, overriding all limitations coming in the way. And it is very much achievable, if we could conscientiously ensure mind’s sense of order as mandated by nature. Buddhi – the faculty of discriminate intelligence – then remains in control of mind.  Evidently with its overpowering influence, Buddhi keeps Ahamkara and Manasa, the two natural errant, in check. When in active use, Buddhi dispassionately judges all issues under consideration in the right perspective due, and accordingly lets one take a reasoned stand. Also, it will not allow anything to happen without due diligence.

The paradox, however, is that mind’s sense of order has to be conscientiously ensured. It won’t come into play by default. For, Ahamkara, that particular faculty of mind, which is supposed to will upon and make a particular choice, often ignores Buddhi’s role. Identifying itself with inherent tendencies of mind, it accordingly sets the defining principles of life. Also, it gets caught up by the tempting influences of the seeming world, and sets it as one’s dream destination. In both situations, Ahamkara would not be keen to invoke Buddhi for due diligence, and with obvious consequences. So we need to be fully alert to ensure our most profound empowerment tool, Buddhi be always in active mode.

Here is the case of an extraordinarily brilliant guy having a fertile mind, with vision, foresight and imagination. He is armed with inventive and innovative ideas, capable of proving a pioneer in the field he attempts. He could easily get into the depth of a subject and understand things in great detail. He has an excellent communicative skill. The astrological markers to that effect are: The Sun, beautifully aligned with intellectually ordained Uranus; intelligence signifying Mercury duly supported by wisdom oriented Jupiter, which is conjunct mind signifier Moon. All put together qualified him to do wonders in life and make a mark for himself quite early in life. Yet, the man had to go through great ordeal for a major part of his life. WhyIJ

let us now look at the negative indicators that did not let his positives play out to their full. The Sun, ill-disposed off to Jupiter points to his swaggering ego. Venus opposite Moon, and also locked in evil formation to the Sun, made him too sensitive, who would get over-exercised on trivial issues. In the process, his priority preferences often got compromised for a long stretch of time. Mercury locked in adverse formation to restive Rahu, did not let him remain focused for long. And the result is there to see. No sooner, he realised his fault lines and addressed them, his talent came into full play with immediate effect.
