EC’s app to keep you posted of results

The results of the General Election-2019 will be announced on May 23. For this, all necessary preparations are being done by the Gurugram administration.

This time, the Election Commission of India has created a new app called "Voter Helpline" to announce the results faster, through which the public will get the result of the election even before television.

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri said that the details of counting will be uploaded by (DC) the administration on the convenience portal which will be displayed on the Voter Helpline app. Individuals who have installed the Voter Helpline app in their mobile will be able to see the details of the counting of votes immediately through this app. He said that in any Android phone, the Voter Helpline app can be installed from Google Play Store.

 During this Lok Sabha election, information about the enrollment form and affidavits of the candidates was made available to the general public by the candidates.

"In this app, the users can accumulate complete information regarding EVM machine. Touching the results column in this app only displays the statistical report of the Lok Sabha elections of the entire country. The results of all the elections held so far in India through this app are readily available," Khatri said.

Apart from this, the DC said that on May 23, counting will commence from 8 am and ensure that the counting of votes is done in a transparent manner, the senior IAS officers have been appointed by the Election Commission of India for counting votes.

"Counting of votes in all the nine Assembly constituencies of Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency will be held at three places. In which Gurugram, Badshahpur, Pataudi and Sohna assembly constituencies counting will be held at Girls College, Sector-14 of Gurugram.
