Ramachandra, a poor handicapped tribal youth of Sundargarh district, has cracked the admission test for IIT. Recently, he got an offer letter from IIT, Kanpur to take admission in an MSc (4 semesters) degree programme.
Notably, he was a student of KISS. Accompanied with a faculty member of KISS and some financial aid of KISS founder and MP Achyuta Samanta, Ramachandra took admission in IIT, Kanpur on July 19.
“I am very happy after cracking IIT. Since we are poor, the founder of KISS and MP assured me of financial assistance for my admission in IIT and therefore, a faculty of KISS accompanied me to Kanpur for my admission in IIT, Kanpur and the KISS deposited the required fees for my admission in the course and in a hostel.” said Ramachandra.
“The credit of my success goes to the founder of KISS, all the teachers and officials of KISS and also to my father. My aim is to become a good professor in future and also I want to be a motivational speaker,” said Ramchandra
“We are proud of Ramchandra because he has cracked IIT” said Deputy Chief Executive Officer, KISS, Bhubaneswar, PK Patra.
“He was always hardworking and due to his will power and determination, he has brought glory for KISS,” said Patra.
Block Social Security Officer, Lahunipara, Janavi Mahanta, said, “We are also trying to provide some financial assistance to the poor boy for his studies in IIT, Kanpur.”
