Jharcraft showroom at Vendors Market

Thursday, 24 October 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

A new Jharcraft showroom was inaugurated at the Atal Smriti Vendor’s Market on Wednesday. The showroom was inaugurated by Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakra. Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth was the chief guest while Deputy Mayor Sanjeev Vijaywargiya was the special guest for the occasion.

The showroom is located on second floor of the market. Situated right across the lifts for easy access, the store is spread over an area of approximately 150 square feet. The products available at this outlet of Jharcraft will be for both men and women and will include items like sarees, stoles, dupattas, shirts, shoes, kurtas, kurtis, bandis and much more.

“This outlet will be operated as a factory outlet of Jharcraft and all items will be available at a discount ranging from 50 per cent to 70 per cent all through the year. Apart from new products, items which are old and maybe have a slight damage will also be available here.

The sale of products on the first day itself was very good with a total amount of around Rs 50,142,” said Jharcraft Managing Director Dipankar Panda. Jharcraft constantly offers its products at discounted rates and the main purpose of opening a store at this market is to give the masses quality products at affordable rates. “Since Jharcraft only uses handloom materials like silk and cotton made in Jharkhand itself, customers can be assured of good quality. This store will not have any handicraft items,” added the MD.

“The inauguration of Jharcraft at vendors market is a gift to the residents of Ranchi. People visit this market for cheap and affordable products without compromising on the quality.

The suppliers of Jharcraft are women from rural areas of the State engaged in this activity. This kind of an outlet at vendors market will not only increase the sale but also bring an increase in creating employment opportunities,” said Vijaywargiya.
