Movie on Indian Air force ‘Airfield Afloat' screened at Shaurya Samarak

A movie based on Indian Air force 'Airfield Afloat' was screened at Shaurya Samarak on Tuesday. The movie was screened under the regular series of movie screening based on Indian army and navy forces.

The movie was made under the banner of Film Division of India and was directed by Shanti S Varma. The entire history of and new advances of Indian airforce and navy is showcased in the film.

It is to be noted that the film featured about the brave hearts who protects the country from seas and oceans. The film features about the advanced technologies used by the Navy and airforce even in submarines and on oceans.

An aircraft carrier which provides a mobile floating airfield in the open seas is an integral  part of any modern navy. The film describes the manifold activities on board the Carrier I.N.S. Vikrant during anormal working day. Launching of the planes was also showcased in the movie.
