To mark the death anniversary of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, anti-Terrorism Day was observed at Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) by pledging to oppose terrorism and encourage peace and harmony at Bokaro on Tuesday.
BSL CEO PK Singh administers an oath to its employees to fight the disruptive powers that threaten the human life values at BSL administrative building. The pledge had been taken, “We, the people of India, having the abiding faith in our country’s tradition of non-violence and tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence. We pledge to uphold and promote peace, social harmony, and understand among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values.”
“The time is ripe for the people to stand against terrorism and move towards development,” he added.
The day is observed to commemorate the assassination of former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi on May 21, 1991, at Sriperumbudur, said MK Dhan COC BSL. “The purpose of observing the day is to spread the message of global peace and non-violence, Deter vulnerable youth from following cult practices and being misguided and Commemorate and honor the sacrifices made by thousands of soldiers who battled against terrorism,” added.
Besides others, AK Singh, RC Srivastava, Mukul Prasad, R Kushwaha, VK Pandey, DK Saha including other senior officers and employees of different departments were present there.
