A 30-year-old robber was arrested red handed by the Police Control Room (PCR) unit of Delhi Police and recovered five mobile phones and a stolen bike from his possession.
Police said the accused identified as, Sumit, a resident of Delhi's Kanjhawala, is previously found to be involved in eight cases of rape, attempt to murder, arms act etc.
According to Sharat Kumar Sinha, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), PCR, on the wee hours of Sunday the police personnel deputed on Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) of Delhi Police in Rohini area saw a cab driver running behind a biker.
"The police team immediately responded after hearing his hue and cry. The team chased the biker and nabbed him after a brief chase. Police on spot recovered five mobiles including three I- Phones and a surgical blade from the possession of the accused. The accused was later handed over to the local police for further investigation," DCP added.
