The railways have cleared 22 coach Alleppey express train from Dhanbad from January 8. The return journey of this train would commence from January 11.
According to Dhanbad divisional PRO the Dhanbad railway division of EC Railways had received instructions from headquarters for making arrangements of six 22 coaches racks for operating the train and to start operation from January 1.
However, following the request of the South Central Railways (SCR) the revised dates of operation have been announced. The SCR request came owing to ongoing interlocking at select stations within jurisdiction of SCR.
The interlocking is likely to end by January 8, said PRO
The new arrangement would help patients of Dhanbad, parts of West Bengal,Bokaro,Ranchi besides others neighbouring districts willing to visit Vellore for treatment to get additional berths on this train as with new rack over500 berths in sleeper class and 64 berths in AC III class would be available for passengers
