Newly appointed Delhi Congress chief Anil Kumar Choudhary on Friday visited and met the riots affected victims in North East Delhi. Choudhary along with other Congress leaders also supplied relief material, consisting of essential commodities and daily use items, to the riots affected families in the area.
While interacting with the locals, Choudhary said that the situation in North East Delhi was now under control, and to extend the message of peace and brotherhood, Congress workers have been having regular interaction with families affected by the mindless violence and supplying them relief material sent by Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Choudhary also said that people should maintain peace and brotherhood as the Congress’ aim was to create communal harmony and peace among all sections of people, so that they continue to live in a peaceful and cordial atmosphere as before.
He said that Congress will spare no effort in maintaining peace and harmony in the violence-affected areas of North East Delhi.
Meanwhile, Delhi Congress vice-presidents — Ali Mehndi and Shivani Chopra — also visited Karawal Nagar, Chand Bagh, Khajuri, Mustafabad and Nehru Vihar areas and met the families affected by the violence and enquired about the welfare.
