Indore which is the number one city in India for cleanliness is now also aspiring to become first in traffic management under guidance of IG Indore range Yogesh Deshmukh and DIG Indore Harinarayan Chari Mishra.

The traffic police was instructed to find the problems and solution for the traffic jams, minor accidents and slow traffic for which the DSP traffic Umakant Choudhary with DSP Nitin Singh studied various roads, squares and lanes of different parts of Indore city and the conclusion for the poor traffic was that traffic jam and accidents are due to wrong side driving, parking on public places and talking on phone while driving.

Public go for wrong side driving to save time and to avoid long rounds and hence they follow wrong side driving. On the instruction of IG and DIG the traffic police organized a vast traffic drive in the city which is still going on in Vijaynagar area, LIG, MG road, Geeta Bhavan, Bhavarkuan, Chankyapuri, Mhownaka, in front of district court, river side and Jawahar Marg and total 600 vehicles were fined in last four days.
