The Delhi Police Commissioner, SN Shrivastava reviewed crime and Covid arrangements in National Capital on Saturday. The CP also awarded police personnel in recognition of their exemplary professionalism and bravery, displayed in various cases in the past 2 weeks.
According to Anil Mittal, the Additional Public Relation Officer (APRO), in Dwarka district, Inspector Naveen Kumar, Sub-Inspector (SI) Ranjeev Kumar, SI Bijender, SI Manjeet, ASI Umesh, ASI Surender, Head Constable (HC) Sumit Gulia, HC Ashok, Constable (Ct) Praveen and Ct Raj Ram of Special Staff were awarded as they had played instrumental role behind the arrest of close associates of Raju Basodiya - Kala Jathedi.
"In Outer district, V N Jha, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Nangloi police station, SI Reena, HC Bijender, HC Naveen and Ct. Manjeet were awarded for solving a blind case of robbery-cum-rape and arrested both the accused persons," said Mittal.
"Darshan Lal, SHO of Outer North district's Bawana police station, SI Rinku, ASI Narender, Ct Chetan were awarded for busting a gang of desperate robbers with the arrest of two accused, who fired at police team while escaping after committing robbery," said the APRO.
"Meanwhile, in Rohini district, Inspector Girish Gothwal, Inspector Investigation/PS Kanjhawala, Ct Naveet, Ct Rinku, Ct. Manjeet, Ct. Rajpal were given award for busting a gang of petrol pump/highway robbers," said the APRO.
"In East District, Inspector Dhirendra, SI Nitin, SI Inderveer , HC Satender and Ct Sunil solved a blind murder case of a Senior Citizen registered at Laxmi Nagar poloce station with the arrest of two accused, Rs 20 lakh (approx) robbed money was also recovered. They were awarded for solving this case," the APRO said.
