The national Capital recorded 321 new coronavirus cases and one fresh fatality on Saturday.
According to the health bulletin, these new cases came out of 53,062 Covid-19 tests conducted on Friday. The total number of tests conducted the previous day included 28,685 RT-PCR tests and 24,377 rapid antigen tests, the bulletin stated.
At least 1,779 number of active cases were reported in the city, while the positivity rate rose to 0.60 per cent, as per the bulletin.
With this, the total number of people infected with life-threatening Covid-19 has reached 6,40,815, according to the health bulletin issued by the Delhi Government.
Besides fall in active cases, the count of home isolation cases have also registered a sustained fall, dropping to below 879 -mark, indicating improvement in the Covid-19 situation, as per the bulletin.
It said that 14 beds in Covid care centres are occupied by persons under quarantine, including travellers who have returned by the Vande Bharat Mission and bubble flights.
From January 15-26, the daily figures ranged from, 148 on January 25 to 299 on January 16, according to official data. On February 9, 13, 17 and 25, and March 2 the death count recorded on all days was zero. On February 9, no fatality from coronavirus infection was registered in the national capital for the first time in that month, and after a gap of nearly nine months.
Delhi had recorded 94 fresh Covid-19 cases on February 16, the lowest in over nine months.
