OeHMIS launched to boost Govt hosp services

In order to provide quality health services to thepublic, a new system the Odisha e-hospital management information system (OeHMIS) has been launched in all Government medical colleges of State along with Acharya Harihar Post Graduate Institute of Cancer, Sishu Bhawan, Cuttack, Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar, 31District Headquarters Hospitals (DHH) and 206 Urban PHCs of State.The digital technology enabled solution which will boost public healthcare and administration is a part of 5T initiative of theGovernment and also under  "Sustha Odisha-Sukhi Odisha" vision ofCM Naveen Patnaik. The objectives of this project are streamlining treatment flow of patients in hospitals, while allowing doctors and other staffto give their best performance and helping in decision support systemfor hospital authorities for developing comprehensive health carepolicies.

The project will cover various public health services likepatient registration, emergency registration, patient enquiry andbilling etc. The Government has already earmarked Rs 163.38 crore for successful implementation of the project.
