The minister along with the UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority CEO Awanish Awasthi on Saturday inspected the Purvanchal Expressway.
Mahana inspected the Purvanchal Expressway from Sehda to Kishundaspur, during which he told the media that the expressway would be ready by the end of June as more than 90 per cent work had been completed. He said the work of the project was affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would dedicate the expressway project and the Purvanchal Expressway would open the way for development for the people of this region.
Mahana said with the completion of the expressway, the process of rapid industrialisation would be accelerated. He said that there was a golden opportunity for those who used to go from Purvanchal and establish their industries in other metros and now they would establish their industries in Purvanchal. He said the government had directed the Industries department to identify land for industries.
