A blood donation camp was organised in city on Friday.
Considering the increasing number of Covid cases in State capital, Yuva Sansad along with Mansarovar Vyapari Kalyaan Samiti and Hamidia Blood Bank organised a daylong blood donation camp.
Medha Chugh shared that they had targeted 50 to 60 units of blood so that it can be kept safe in blood bank for any crisis to come in future. On Friday, they collected 50 units of blood.
While sharing about the blood donation camp, Medha said that all the precautionary measures were taken during the camp. She said that the beds and sheets were sanitized before and after the donor donates blood. Besides, it was instructed to each donor to wear double mask for extra precautions.
Coordinator of the blood donation camp Medha Chugh shared, "We are organising a blood donation camp to avoid shortage of blood in blood banks in days to come as people won’t be able to donate for a month post vaccination."
It is to be noted that the camp was organised with association of Hamidia Blood Bank. The vehicle and the medical practitioners will be present on the spot to help out the donors. There were at least 6 medical practioners for the donors.
Medha has appealed the citizens to donate blood and help those admitted in hospitals and fighting for their lives at this tough time.
The day began with the health check up camp wherein the blood test, sugar were conducted. During the medical camp a general medical checkup was conducted by the doctors. The doctors minutely examined the health of people and gave them necessary precautions.
