35 docs appointed for Ganjam hospitals

 The denizens of Brahmapur city and the patients of south Odisha’s premier MKCG Medical College Hospital in particular have reasons to cheer.

Though late, the Health Ministry of the State Government by its notification No. 1203 dated 31.5.2022, has finally appointed 35 Post-Graduate doctors in different medical colleges and other periphery hospitals of the State to cope with the growing health care needs of the district.

These doctors are passout students of 2018 and 2019 batches, sources said.

The doctors are from over 13 disciplines including Anaesthesiology, Bio Chemistry, Community Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, O&G, Microbiology,  Orthopaedics, Opthalmology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Psychiatry, Radiology and Skin and VD.

These doctors have been appointed for tenure of one year i.e. up to 30.6.2023. Sources also said that, 28 out of 35 of these doctors have passed from MKCG MCH, while the remaining seven are from VSS Medical College, SCB Medical College and Rayagada Medical College respectively.

Brahmapur MLA Bikram Panda conveyed his gratitude to the Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik for the steps taken to meet the emerging healthcare needs of the district.

Former Deputy Speaker of OLA and senior leader of BJD Rama Chandra Panda also has conveyed his deep appreciation for the CM.
