A statement from Chandigarh Administration said that the government of India has already started the evacuation process of stranded Indian nationals in Ukraine. Out of the 103 stranded persons of Chandigarh sent by the Ministry of External Affairs, the officials from the Police Department Chandigarh paid a visit to the families of those stranded people in Ukraine amid the ongoing situation. They have assured every possible support to the worried families. The statement said higher authorities are in constant touch with Ministry of External Affairs and taking timely information about the current situation. Chandigarh Helpdesk has also been set up at IGI Airport, New Delhi. The statement said three more residents of Chandigarh arrived from Ukraine at iGI Airport on Tuesday.
