One-stop vedic hub

With an aim to reviving the vedas and restoring the rich traditional roots of our ancient culture via technology, here is an app which promises to keep you connected to vedic worship. It offers spiritual guidance and much more

Sadhana app is Om Swami’s brainchild. He, who is a monk, entrepreneur and author, created this novel app along with a team of digital and content creators from around the world to revive the holy vedas and restore the rich traditional roots of our ancient culture via technology. The app offers a unique state-of-the-art digital platform for vedic worship to connect seekers of spiritual truth with the roots of Sanatana Dharma.

According to Om Swami: “The vedic ideology is not a few thousand but a mere hundred years away from extinction. If we don’t revive the vedas, they will perish one day. In the guise of being liberal, we are not even exposing our youth and children to the beauty and teachings of the vedas.”

Sadhana app was launched in early March this year and since then has grown exponentially to touch more than 1.5 lakh lives across the world. It is an inner anchor of strength, a coping mechanism, a pillar of hope and faith for people. The spiritual discipline of sadhana builds an unshakeable inner foundation of peace and bliss within its practitioner. It has been hailed a boon by many users who were waiting for spiritual guidance and now have a way to experience the ancient vedic way of life, complimenting and enhancing the quality of their modern lives.

There are many seekers across the world who are oblivious to the true power of vedic traditions and are desperately looking for this knowledge. They are confused and unable to find authentic, clear guidance in one trustworthy place on how and where to start and what to do. The app bridges that knowledge gap and stands strong as a one-stop vedic hub for spiritual seekers.

For many others who are unable to step out of the house to offer prayers at a temple physically whether due to illness or old age or busyness, they are easily able to connect to their deity of their choice in a pure and most powerful way and experience the magical transformation in their lives. The temple has come to people in their own homes, on their smartphones, just a tap away.

Sacred service

It is not just an app, it is a humble offering in the service of Sanatana Dharma and the society. It has been kept not for profit because it is a sacred service and a mission dedicated to reviving the timeless vedas and to preserve a cultural legacy for the future generations of the nation.

“We at Vedic Sadhana Foundation wanted to keep it free and removed all barriers of entry to the knowledge that can uplift the consciousness of an individual and the world at large in unprecedented ways. This precious wisdom has been passed down by our ancestors and we wanted to ensure that anyone who wishes to connect to this knowledge can easily access it in a most easy and exciting way, absolutely free of cost via the latest technology on the Sadhana app. There are no advertisements, paywall or restrictions either,” says Priyanka Anand, CEO, Vedic Sadhana Foundation.

Foresight

It is currently the fastest growing and most comprehensive vedic app in the world and it is being built up on a grand scale to be the one-stop, most authentic spiritual hub for everything related to the knowledge and wisdom given in the vedas.

“We want to take it across the world to every truth seeker and a Hindu, who is searching for this knowledge to connect them back to the roots of Sanatana Dharma and preserve this splendorous legacy for future generations,” Anand says.

“We are building and enabling even more powerful features and developing first-of-its-kind worship modules over the next few years to really recreate the glory, divine power and opulence of the vedic era. With the most cutting edge technology and sophisticated AI, we are moving towards the latest in virtual reality and the most immersive experience of virtual worship,” she adds.

Their aim is to be at the forefront of innovation and perfectly merge the most ancient secrets of this world with modern technology to ensure an inspiring and authentic way of experiencing the immeasurable benefits of living life the vedic way.

It is a faith tech product made in India with an aim to make it global, make it a brand of national pride and cultural significance.

Remembering roots

The powerful vedic traditions of mantra chanting, sacred fire offerings and daily prayer rituals are no longer tied to visiting the temple or being dependent on a temple priest.

“As people turn to technology to reconnect with religion, our organisation is playing an important role in bridging that gap with the app. It empowers people to learn and experience the power of turning inwards and performing vedic ritual worship to their deity with the purest chants and offerings,” says Anand.

“We believe that it’s indeed possible to discover your highest potential, inner peace and harmony through the power of daily spiritual practices done the vedic way,” she says.

A user takes a magnificent virtual journey through the mystical Himalayan land of Siddhashram to experience the guided path of the vedas in immersive, sacred 3D temples through five core vedic rituals of mantra jaap, nitya puja, abhishekam, yajna and sadhanas, which are all potent practices for spiritual evolution.

“Our social media handles and blog on (sadhana.app) compliment the app to share rare stories, discourses, guidance and authentic knowledge straight from the scriptures to bring the truth to seekers in a most relevant and practical manner and eventually offer an in-depth base of scriptural knowledge. One can also explore the benefits of chanting specific mantras on the app itself, which helps the user understand the basis of its power,” Anand says.

The average engagement time on the app for people is approximately 30 mins daily. People start their day with the virtual altar on the app connecting to the divine source of wisdom for spiritual upliftment. Users experience the peace, the power, pristine clarity of mind and simple beauty of living like our ancestors once did.

Current scenario

Majority of the users of Sadhana app (65 per cent) at this point are millennials and zoomers , falling between the age groups of 18-34, who take to virtual worship more easily.

Anand says: “There comes a point in life when you realise how futile it is to run after external means of trying to find lasting happiness. We distract ourselves from the restlessness and inner void most of us feel. We try to fill it with shiny attractions of the world, be it food, drugs, alcohol, social media, sex, relationships or work, and yet nothing seems to be enough for long. We are back to square one. It's primarily because we’ve lost our connection to our roots and the inner source of divinity, the fountain of bliss where we are all completely fulfilled.

She adds: “The devoted practice of sadhana in time brings you back home to yourself. You never feel lost or alone. Doing these practices on the app is a life-transforming master key to access the timeless wisdom of the vedas.”

â€œYou can become powerful beyond imagination and live your best life for absolutely anything is possible with sadhana,” Anand exclaims.
