DMC meeting was held in the District ¹Panchayat Auditorium under the chairmanship of Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat, Vandana Sharma.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Vandana Sharma said that the number of farmers should be increased by innovating in the eight Farmer Producer Companies Limited formed with the help of NABARD in Indore district. First of all, the progress of four FPOs formed in the district, including Janapav FPC, Maa Kshipra FPC, Maa Chandrabhaga FPC and Depalpur FPC, was presented by Abhiraj Singh Kamboj, State Coordinator of BAF Livelihoods. In the same sequence, while reviewing the FPOs run by other organizations also, Shivsingh Rajput, Deputy Director of Agriculture, said that through FPOs, farmers have started getting better prices and help in the market for their products. He also informed that technical assistance and training is also being provided to the farmers through FPO.
In the meeting, DDM from NABARD Nagesh Chaurasia said that NABARD is providing necessary support to all the FPOs through financial equity grant. Farmers are also getting financial freedom and their economic condition is becoming stronger.
In the meeting, LDM Sunil Dhaka assured that Bank of India will provide loan based financial support to strengthen all the FPOs of the district and conduct various types of activities. Presidents, Vice Presidents, Chief Executive Officers of all the FPOs of the district, Rahul Patidar, Akshat Gupta, Rohit, District Program Officer of CBBO BAAF Livelihoods KK Patil, TR Parmar, Shravan Chauhan and other administrative officers were present in the DMC meeting.
