Chhattisgarh Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat said a three-day national seminar on archeology, archives and museums which began on Friday will provide a new direction to preserve the state's cultural heritage.
The Minister said this while inaugurating the seminar at the auditorium of Mahant Ghasidas Museum in Raipur.
The seminar focuses on the latest research in the fields of archaeology, archives and museums, with particular emphasis on central India.
Addressing the inaugural session, Bhagat said research scholars from Delhi, Kolkata, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh are taking part in the seminar.
"I hope that through this seminar, meaningful discussions will take place on new studies, discoveries, documentation and technological experiments in archaeology, archives, and museums."
The Minister released a research summary book on the occasion.
