The Border Security Force Director General of New Delhi Dr.Sujay Lal Thausen has visited the BSF Training Centre and School Meru. As the DG reached to the centre the Inspector General of Centre cum commandant Inderjeet Singh Rana welcomed the DG in Shane-Magadh guest house of the centre.
After receiving the Guard of Honour the chief guest was reached to the administrative building meet with the all officers of the centre. In the introductory session the DG briefed the officers and discussed on
the important issues and issued some direction to the officers.
The DG Thausenwas visited the whole area of the centre. He has visited STC ( Subsidiary Training Centre ) and took the stocks of the different activities and the different equipment’s in the centre.
A conference was conducted in Priya hall of the centre with the jawans and officers. In the conference the DG BSF said in his speech that Border Security Force has glorious history in which The BSF trained
the Bangladesh Mukti Vahini during Indo Pak war 1971. He has also mentioned the achievements and challenges of training related resources in BSF.
DG while addressing the personnel said that the institute needs to be better prepared to tackle all training related challenges in order to deliver quality training.
The Inspector General cum Commandant Inderjeet Singh Rana said that the Meru training centre and school has been recognized as the best centre at National and International level with the ISO”9001:2015”.
He further said that this centre trained the jawans in Counter Emergency, Counter Terrorism, Field Engineering and explosive.
We are also providing the training to the jawans of friendly countries and state police jawans. At the time of opening this centre the Basic training was provided by the Meru training centre and school Meru.
