Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that sensitivity in the political field forms the basis of the development of the state. In Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has worked as a public servant in the form of a sensitive Chief Minister. Due to his public service, Madhya Pradesh has come out of the category of sick state and is moving towards development. Rajnath Singh was addressing the public at a programme in Neemuch today.
Union Minister Singh said that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Madhya Pradesh in the year 2001-02 was Rs 71 thousand 594 crore, which has increased today to more than Rs 13 lakh 22 thousand crore in 2023. Similarly, in twenty years the per capita income of Madhya Pradesh has increased tenfold from Rs 11 thousand 718 to Rs 1 lakh 40 thousand. Madhya Pradesh has an important contribution in reducing poverty in India. Madhya Pradesh government has done this wonderful job. Madhya Pradesh is contributing 4.8 percent to India’s economy. Due to such contribution, India has become the fifth largest economy in the world. In the coming times, we will be in the top three.
Praising the works of the Chief Minister, Union Defence Minister Singh said that Shivraj Singh Chouhan is the Dhoni of politics. He has been serving the public for years. He has affinity with the public. He takes special care of the poor. He has taken Madhya Pradesh forward on the path of development.
Rajnath Singh said that the biggest need for a poor person is his own house. In Madhya Pradesh, the former government had returned 2 lakh houses out of the 8 lakh houses sanctioned under the Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana. Along with this, central schemes were also blocked.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that Prime Minister Modi did good to more than 100 other countries including India by arranging the vaccine at the time of Corona.
He considers all the people living on the earth of the world as his own. India has given the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. No country in the world could do what Modi did when Indian students were trapped during the war between Ukraine and Russia. Our planes safely brought the students to India. Prime Minister Modi talked with the Presidents of America, Russia and Ukraine. There was ceasefire for a few hours and about 23 thousand of our students returned to India safely. This is the status of India in the world.
Rajnath Singh said that the entire Malwa region including Neemuch is considered the economic engine of Madhya Pradesh.
