Khajuri police nab miscreant, recover 2.1 kgs of Cannabis

Khajuri sadak police nabbed a drug peddler from Jamonia  Chheer tintersection carrying 2.1 kg of Cannabis worth Rs 20000, police have started investigation.

In view of the assembly elections, Bhopal police are keeping strict vigil and taking action, seized 2.1 kg of illegal ganja worth around Rs 20,000 and arrested the accused.

Police said that  information was received regarding a man illegally possessing Cannabis in a bag standing at the Jamonia  Chheer   jod and waiting for the customers.

Based on the information swift action was taken and a police team reached the spot and arrested the accused.

On the orders of the senior officers, Sub Inspector Banwari Lal was immediately sent to the information point along with the investigation kit, electronic weighing scale. A person was seen holding a bag in his hand, who was held by the police team.

In the investigation, he was identified as Bahadur Mayda (21) of  Ratlam.

In the investigation the drugs were found to be 2.1 kg. The police registered a case under section 8 and 20 of the NDPS Act.

Meanwhile Chola police have arrested a 21-year-old youth for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl; police have arrested the accused after the victim lodged a complaint.

Police said that the accused Vinod Vishwakarma raped the victim while her mother was undergoing treatment at hospital and when she was staying at their house on Septmeber 7, 2023.

On November 4 when the victim's mother returned after treatment the victim lodged a complaint and based on the complaint police registered a case under section 376(2)(f) of IPC and section 5 and 6 of the POCSO Act and arrested the accused. The team formed with immediate effect was sent to search for the accused Vinod. On receiving the information from the informer, a boy of the described description was seen near the house of the complainant in Kalyan Nagar, who was surrounded and caught and asked to know his name, who gave his name as Vinod Vishwakarma, father Suresh Vishwakarma.
