Governor Mangubhai Patel attended the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat at Raj Bhavan along with the Padma awardees of the state and dignitaries mentioned in Mann Ki Baat and invited celebrity guests. A special programme of Mann Ki Baat was organised in Sandipani, the huge auditorium of the Raj Bhavan.

Patel while addressing the invited guests before the start of the programme said that on the basis of his experience of working for 14 years as a member of the Cabinet of Prime Minister Modi during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat, he can say that Modi ji is a very sensitive person. His sensitivity includes humans and animals alike. Patel mentioned two incidents of sensitivity of the Prime Minister. He told that when there was an incident of the hunting of a lion in Sasan Gir National Park, Modi as the Chief Minister of Gujarat immediately reached the spot. Late in the night, without worrying about his life, he went to the middle of the forest and reviewed the incident on the spot. Similarly, during the flood in Surat city, sitting in a boat in the middle of 14 feet deep water, he reached among the flood victims without any delay to learn their pain and suffering.

The Governor said that the Mann Ki Baat programme is a wonderful platform to connect the Prime Minister directly with the public in a democratic system. Modi ji is an orator of extraordinary talent, universally gifted, who pays attention to the nuances of the people. By understanding the emotions, he establishes direct contact with them. This is the reason that today he has been recognised as the most loved and unique politician of the world's largest democracy. He has greatly strengthened the faith of the people in democracy and governance. Listeners of Mann Ki Baat get inspiration and self-confidence from Modi ji on selfless works, stories of change makers, service works, innovation and self-confidence.

Patel said that Mann Ki Baat is really such a people's revolution, which has reached every nook and corner of the country. This is such a charisma, which has converted the masses into manpower. Has enabled India to face Covid, the biggest tragedy of the century. He said that the appeal made in Mann Ki Baat boosted the morale of the people in the time of disaster and encouraged the Covid Warriors. It has also done an unprecedented miracle of converting efforts like Janata curfew and vaccination into a mass movement. This miracle happened because sensitive Modi ji's Mann Ki Baat touched the heart of every Indian. If we talk about the most successful government campaign of independent India, then undoubtedly it is the cleanliness campaign started by Prime Minister Modi ji. The basis of the success of the campaign was to make people an integral and important part of the campaign, the very next day after the launch of the campaign, the Prime Minister talked about the construction of toilets before the temple in the first episode of Mann Ki Baat on 3 October 2014. It is the result of the efforts of Prime Minister Modi that the thinking of the general public has become such that no one litters at home, outside or even in public places. If someone does, people stop and forbid him. Patel said that Mann Ki Baat is the energy force for building a better India, which is becoming the strength of efforts to establish India as a world leader.

Patel presented mementos to the Padma awardees of the state who came to the Raj Bhavan after the Mann Ki Baat programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Padma awardees were Vijay Dutt Sridhar, Janak Palta, Shanti Parmar, Ramesh Parmar, Bhuri Bai and Kailash Madbaiya.

Governor Patel presented mementos to the personalities related to the events of Madhya Pradesh mentioned in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat at Raj Bhavan after the programme.
