Police nab two from Jharkhand, Assam for fraud

Cyber Crime Branch Bhopal arrested the CSP operator along with two account holders of the gang who cheated in the name of canceling the order of laptop bag from Snapdeal company, from Jharkhand and Assam, the stronghold of cybercrime.

The accused used to take 20 percent of the fraud transaction as mediator on rent of the bank accounts. Along with this, the CSP operator used to take 10 percent commission for cashing the fraud amount. The accused lived in Chennai on the pretext of working to learn Tamil language.

HSP Srivastava, a resident of Trilanga, had filed an application in the Cyber Crime Kohefiza Bhopal complaining that he was cheated of about Rs 40,000 in three parts between March 22 and 24 in the name of canceling his laptop cover order from Snapdeal company. After investigating the complaint application, the police registered a case under section 419, 420 of the IPC against the user of the bank account and mobile number.

The accused are natives of the state of Jharkhand, Assam. Out of which two account holders work in Chennai for very little money to learn Tamil language for fraud calling, so that after learning Tamil language, they can do fraud with people in future by calling them in Tamil language.

At the same time, the account holder opens a bank account in his name and gives it to the middleman, who contacts the fraud calling boys and gets the money deposited in their account. He takes 10 percent commission from the CSP operator and 20 percent commission himself and gives the rest to the mediator. The CSP operator knows that this is fraud money, despite which he continuously helps in fraud by withdrawing money on commission.

The accused are Afzal Ansari and CSP director Mohammad Dilkash Ansari from Deoghar Jharkhand and another account holder Riza-Ul- Haq from Assam after doing technical analysis. During this, 3 mobile phones, 6 SIM cards, a memory card, cash transaction register and account opening register were recovered from the accused.
