Modi launches nation wide mega infra blitz

n Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a significant virtual ceremony on Sunday, inaugurated airports at several locations and laid the foundation stone for numerous development projects marking a significant stride towards nationwide progress.  Addressing the occasion, Modi highlighted the transformation of Azamgarh, formerly considered a backward region, into a hub of development.

“Today, not only Azamgarh but many development projects for the entire country are being launched from here,” said the Prime Minister. “Azamgarh once counted among the backward areas, now stands as a beacon of development for the nation.”

The Prime Minister emphasized the unprecedented scale of development initiatives being undertaken across the country. “For several days, I have been inaugurating numerous projects simultaneously from one place,” Modi stated. “This reflects our commitment to rapid progress and inclusive growth.”

Highlighting the transformative journey under the double-engine government, Modi lauded UP’s exemplary performance in implementing central schemes, positioning it as one of the leading states in the nation. He affirmed, “Both the picture and destiny of UP have changed.”

During the event, Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 782 development projects, amounting to a staggering Rs 34,700 crore investment. These projects span various sectors including Railways, Civil, Jal Shakti, Housing, Urban and Rural Development, and State Sector initiatives. Notable among these were the inauguration of new airports in five districts, including Azamgarh, Shravasti, Moradabad, Chitrakoot, and Aligarh, along with the expansion of the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. Echoing his commitment to development, PM Modi assured, “It is Modi’s guarantee; Azamgarh will remain a bastion of development till eternity.”

Addressing the political landscape, Modi asserted a shift away from appeasement politics, citing the recent electoral outcomes in Azamgarh as evidence of changing dynamics. He stated, “The people of Azamgarh demolished the dynasts’ notion that Azamgarh was their stronghold.”

Modi rallied for continued support towards the National Democratic Alliance, urging citizens to ensure a resounding victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In his vision for a developed India, Modi stressed the importance of urbanization, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, underlining the mantra of “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.”

Amidst the celebrations of progress, PM Modi reiterated his commitment to farmers’ welfare, highlighting initiatives to ensure fair prices for agricultural produce and alleviate farmer distress.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed the occasion as a momentous shift for Azamgarh, which has seen a significant turnaround from its previous challenges. “What was the identity of Azamgarh 10 years ago? Today, it stands as a testament to our efforts to eradicate crime and foster economic growth,” he remarked.

Among the notable projects inaugurated were the Maharaja Suheldev State University in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and the four-lane road connecting Ghazipur to Maharaja Suheldev State University, Yashpalpur, Azambandh, Maharashtra. Additionally, 744 roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana were initiated, aiming to improve connectivity and infrastructure in rural areas.

Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 15 airports across the country, including major projects in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and Punjab. These airports are poised to boost regional connectivity and spur economic growth in their respective regions.

Furthermore, Modi initiated 12 railway projects worth Rs. 8176.00 crores, aimed at enhancing rail infrastructure and connectivity. Projects such as electrification, double-lining, and station modernization were launched, emphasizing the government’s commitment to upgrading transportation networks.

In the realm of water resources, Modi inaugurated Jal Shakti projects worth Rs. 1114.24 crore in Prayagraj, Jaunpur, and Etawah, emphasizing the importance of sustainable water management.

The Prime Minister also marked the inauguration of housing and urban development projects in Lucknow and Ranchi, alongside the foundation laying of key road transport and highway projects aimed at improving connectivity and infrastructure.

The comprehensive range of projects inaugurated and initiated underscored the government’s commitment to fostering development and prosperity across the nation. PM Modi’s address reiterated the importance of inclusive growth and sustainable development as India marches towards a brighter future.
