‘Pradhan Mantri Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana’ approved

The State cabinet here on Thursday approved expansion of the Chief Minister’s Solar Pump Scheme and implement it under the name ‘Pradhan Mantri Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana’.

The ‘Pradhan Mantri Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana’ will be implemented by the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam as per the guidelines issued under the Kusum ‘B’ scheme of the Central Government. To provide solar agriculture pump connections to farmers/groups of farmers, solar agriculture pump connections are also being provided under the currently prevalent “Mukhyamantri Krishak Mitra Yojana”.

The Council of Ministers has granted administrative approval for work to be done in the first and second phase of the Ken-Betwa Link Project at a cost of Rs 24 thousand 293 crore 24 lakh. The project will provide irrigation to 6,57,364 hectare drought affected area of ??Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Datia and Vidisha, Shivpuri, Raisen districts of Betwa basin of Bundelkhand region and drinking water facility to about 44 lakh population.

The Council of Ministers has approved the establishment of Chitrakoot Development Authority for the integrated development of Chitrakoot city, by disintegrating the existing Chitrakoot Special Area Development Authority by the Urban Development and Housing Department.

With the establishment of Chitrakoot Development Authority, overall development of this naturally, historically and religiously significant region will be possible. Besides, the implementation of the proposals of effective development plan by the Directorate of Town and Country Investment will become possible.

The Council of Ministers approved a grant-in-aid amounting to Rs 20 crore for the authority. The Collector has been authorized to make other necessary arrangements.

The Cabinet approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Public Works Department and National Highway Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) for the development, implementation, construction, operation and maintenance of the ropeway.

The ropeway projects proposed in the National Ropeway Development Programme ‘Parvatmala’ were approved. In the first phase of the project at four places, including Railway Station to Mahakal Temple, Ujjain Ropeway, Tikitoria Mata Mandir (Sagar) Funicular, Empire Stadium to Gurudara (Via Rampur Chowk and Avenue Mall), Jabalpur and Civic Center to Baldevbagh (Via Malviya Chowk, Lodganj, Barafuara), Jabalpur Cabinet approved to authorize Public Works Department to select the options for the remaining ropeway projects found feasible in future and as mentioned in the memorandum of understanding (MOU) of the proposed projects.

Approval has been given to expand the ‘Mukhya Mantri Solar Pump Yojana” and implement it under the name ‘Pradhan Mantri Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana’. The implementation of ‘Pradhan Mantri Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana’ will be done as per the guidelines issued by the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Yojana under the Kusum ‘B’ scheme of the Central Government.

For the entire ropeway project proposed in Madhya Pradesh, approval was given to authorize the Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation on behalf of Madhya Pradesh Government for approval of alignment of the project. Approval was given to authorize the Principal Secretary, M.P. Government, Public Works Department for notifying the Geo coordinates of all ropeway project alignments in the Gazette of the State Government, approving all actions related to land acquisition, signing the Definitive Agreement and appointing NHLML as Promoter for implementing the projects.
