'2024 to be “least-accident” year for Paradip Port'

The 53rd National Safety Week being observed by Paradip Port Authority came to an end on Wednesday with Chairman, PPA PL Haranadh lowering the National Safety Week Flag at an event held at Gate No. 4, in presence of Deputy Chairman, Nilabhra Dasgupta, Additional Assistant Director, Inspectorate Dock Safety Soma Sekhar Bajaramath along with other HODs and PPA officials and various stakeholders.

 

Chief guest Haranadh said, "We must be aware about safety practices,"  and stressed on imparting proper practical trainings.

 

A 23km wide arterial concrete road has been developed inside harbour area. First time among Major Ports, one mechanised road sweeping machine has been engaged inside harbour on a trial basis. Inside colony area, lighting improvement is being undertaken, so that it will be well lit within next two months,said Haranadh and hoped that, like previous year, this year will also be “least accident” year as far as port working area is concerned.

 

Guest of honour, Deputy Chairman, PPA Nilabhra Dasgupta said each employee must be the flag bearer of safety culture.
