Two youths were killed when their bike hit the wall of a bridge and fell off it in the R Udayagiri area of Gajapati district on Tuesday.
The accident took place near the Dumba Park under R Udayagiri block. The deceased were identified as Mantu Pal and Tukuna Singh of Chheligada village.
Mantu and Tukuna were returning to their village. While negotiating a turn, they lost control of the vehicle. The two along with the bike plunged from the bridge. One of them died on the spot while the other was critically injured. Locals rescued the injured and rushed him to the Chandragiri Community Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
