Another metro train has arrived in Bhopal from Sanwali (Vadodara) in Gujarat. Including this, a total of 4 metros have arrived in Bhopal. Of these, one has already been run on the track for a trial run, while two others are being prepared to run on the track. Their testing is going on at Subhash Nagar depot.
In the night on Tuesday fourth train landed at the depot. Now its technical testing is being done.
A total of 27 metros will be received in Bhopal and 25 in Indore. There are 3 coaches each in every metro train, 4 metro trains have arrived in both the cities. Metro has also reached Indore two-three days ago.
The first metro train arrived in Bhopal on September last year. It was driven on the track for a trial run on October last year. After this, 2 more trains came in February. These are running on a test track. Will soon come to the main track for the final trials. Apart from technical, mechanical, electrical testing, software testing was also done in the Inspection Bay Line (IBL) built at Subhash Nagar depot.
A trial run was conducted in Bhopal on October 3 last year. The trial run was conducted between five of the eight stations in the 6.22 km Orange Line – Subhash Nagar, Kendriya School, DB Mall, MP Nagar and Rani Kamlapati station. Since then the train is being run on the track.
The target is to run the metro for the common people in May-June 2024. Therefore, focus is being placed on the remaining work of the Metro. Especially the work of Alkapuri, AIIMS and DRM office stations has been expedited. At the same time, after completion of civil work at Subhash Nagar, Opposite DB Mall, MP Nagar, Rani Kamlapati and Kendriya School stations, finishing works are also being completed. Sheds have also been installed at DB Mall, Kendriya School and MP Nagar stations. At the same time, steel bridges are also being built at the intersection near the railway track and DRM office.
