75 vehicles to increase polling percent

The Election Commission has decided to operate voter awareness vehicles for maximum voting in the districts of the state where there was less voting during the last Lok Sabha elections. These vehicles will go to urban and rural areas of these districts for a month to motivate people to vote and create awareness about fair elections.

In the districts, these vehicles will also move  in the areas indicated by the Collector and District Election Officers and will conduct maximum awareness programs in the areas where the inclination towards voting is less.

After the implementation of the code of conduct for Lok Sabha elections, these vehicles were flagged off by Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan today.

After sending off the vehicles, CEO Rajan said that in the 75 assembly constituencies where there was less voting during the last assembly elections, awareness work will be done through 75 vehicles. Collector will make its route chart. Master trainers and local people will also be included in this. By taking these vehicles to the polling stations, work will be done to show films and create awareness in other ways. Apart from this, the vehicles will also reach out to the people and create awareness through audio clips.

The Election Commission is going to run voter awareness campaign in 26 districts through these vehicles.

The Chief Electoral Officer said that this time the Election Commission has decided to run awareness vehicles in 26 districts of the state.

There was less voting in 75 assembly constituencies of these 26 districts during the last elections. Therefore, people will be motivated to vote by running awareness vehicles from March 20 to April 20. The districts where voter awareness vehicles are being sent are Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Datia, Guna, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Panna, Satna, Sidhi, Rewa, Singrauli, Shahdol, Katni, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Dewas, Khandwa. , Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ujjain and Ratlam.
