The All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) wrote a letter to Raj Bhawan regarding the large-scale rigging in the guest teacher appointment process in Ranchi University in 2022 and informed about the entire incident here on Wednesday.
Ranchi University cell president Abhishek Shukla, who was present on the occasion, said that in the process of guest teacher appointment 2022 the university kept aside all the rules and regulations and gave jobs to its favourites in the university administration on the post of guest teachers. He further said that in the 2022 guest teacher appointment process, the merit list has not been followed in any subject, a living example of which is the merit list of History subject, merit list of Political Science subject, merit list of Chemistry, merit list of Commerce.
The teacher selected at number 29 in the merit list of History subject was appointed as a guest teacher, while the teacher selected in the merit rank above him has been making rounds of the university for the last one year but every time he is made some new excuse. Efforts are being made to postpone this matter.
Similarly, in the subject of Political Science, the teacher selected at number five in the merit list has not yet got joining, but the teacher selected at number 18 and 19 has been given appointment. The teacher selected at number five complained about this in the Raj Bhavan, after which the university administration He was told to go and join BS College, Lohardaga, but when he reached there to join, someone else was given the opportunity to join there.
In the subject of Chemistry, instead of the teacher selected at the first position in the merit list, the teacher selected at the 11th position was appointed as a guest teacher, whereas the teacher who was selected at the first position in the merit list protested against this several times but the University The administration has not appointed him till date and that teacher is still roaming around the university.
According to the merit list in Commerce subject, teacher number 29 was appointed, whereas before that many teachers present in the merit list are still making rounds of the university but they are not getting anything except assurance.
Shukla further said that it is clear from all these cases that there has been gross irregularity and rigging in the appointment of guest teachers by Ranchi University in 2022, which is living proof or four examples, even the university administration has not followed the teacher appointment rules of UGC.
Shukla, while requesting the Governor cum Chancellor, said that instructions should be issued by Raj Bhawan to cancel the 2022 guest teacher appointment process pending and clarification should be sought in this matter from Ranchi University Administration and Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University.
And appropriate action should be taken against all the officials of Ranchi University found guilty in this matter.
Among those who submitted the demand letter, included Bipin Yadav, Rahul Kumar, Vikram Yadav, Akash Nayan, Manjeet, Priyanshu Sharma, Vishal Kumar Yadav, Abhishek Sahu and other members.
