Autorickshaw driver dies in road accident

A 25-year-old auto driver died after auto rickshaw he was driving  overturned late on Wednesday night in front of Aamra Green Garden in Kolar, the driver died in the accident while one of his aides escaped with injuries; the elder brother of the deceased raised suspicion that a blood stained screw driver was found at the spot.

At the time of the incident, two men and a woman were passengers in the autorickshaw and in the accident they escaped with minor injuries.

The elder brother of the deceased has raised suspicion as a blood stained screwdriver was found at the incident site. The police said that they have registered a case and have started an investigation. The real causes of death will be revealed in the post mortem report.

Ashok Kumar Ahirwar said that the deceased Manoj Ahirwar  was his younger brother. We live in Phase 1 Banjari Kolar. Manoj used to work as an auto driver. He used to return home every day around 11 pm and he failed to return till 12:30 pm on Wednesday night. After some time Rahul, who is also Manoj's friend, came to the house and told them that autorickshaw had overturned in front of Amara Garden, in front of Kolar police station.

Due to this, a woman and two male passengers traveling in the auto suffered minor injuries and he also sustained minor injuries. Manoj had a serious head injury and was taken to JP Hospital. When we reached the hospital, we found him dead. When we reached the spot, we saw that there were no signs of damage anywhere in the auto. No address of the passengers who were  traveling in the auto was given. A screwdriver stained with blood was found at the incident site. Family suspect that something has gone wrong with him that has cost him his life.

Ashok said that Rahul was driving the autorickshaw at the time of the accident. He told this during interrogation. No injury of any kind is visible on his body. There is no information about the passengers who were injured. In fact, it is not even confirmed whether there were any passengers in the auto.

Kolar police station in-charge Ashutosh Upadhyay said that the case is being investigated. Initially the young man seems to have died in a road accident. The causes of death will become more clear in the post mortem report. On the basis of which further action will be decided.
