BJP has no claim over Jharkhand, it should leave now: JMM

Sunday, 07 April 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Saturday expressed strong objection to the statement of BJP's national spokesperson Ajay Alok that Jharkhand State has been gifted to the people by the BJP. It said that the BJP ruled for 17 years in Jharkhand just for the sake that it was formed during the reign of then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The JMM said that the BJP has got its ‘Dakshina’ and for performing prayers and now it must leave Jharkhand.

JMM General Secretary cum Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that BJP's Delhi imported spokesperson has said that they have created Jharkhand. There is a hospital in Patna which belongs to him. And this hospital was built by his father. Many people contribute to building any house. But that house does not belong to every person. We got Jharkhand after four decades of struggle. And JMM fought this battle.

Targeting the BJP it said that those who are beating drums of corruption in Jharkhand should remember who took the money in the defence deal? The builder of HEC was the same tribal who designed the building of RIMS. Jaipal Singh Munda is being insulted. This mentality is how the tribals can move forward. The wheel of time is turning. We do not know what happens in Udyan Hospital, said Bhattacharya.

Meanwhile, Kalpana Murmu Soren, wife of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, today reached the office of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for the first time. During this, the workers welcomed her warmly. Workers from different districts had reached the party office. During this, discussions were held regarding the Ulgulan Nyay rally. They also raised slogans of Hemant Soren Zindabad in a loud voice.

Sources said that Kalpana has taken command of the Maharally to be held at Prabhat Tara Maidan in Ranchi. Before the Maharally to be held at Prabhat Tara Maidan on April 21, Kalpana held a meeting with the district presidents of the party at the office of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) in Harmu and took the views of party workers.

After leaving the party office, she also tweeted on social media and said, “We will fight, we will win. Today in the party office in Ranchi with the comrades of the struggle. Jai Johar! Jai Jharkhand! Long live Hemant Soren!”

On January 31, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren was arrested by ED. After which Kalpana Soren entered active politics. She is addressing election meetings at various places and giving powerful speeches in meetings. She is strongly targeting the BJP. Today, after the meeting of district heads at the JMM office, Kalpana left for Bermo in Bokaro district. In Bermo, she has to attend the program organized on the first death anniversary of former Jharkhand Education Minister Jagarnath Mahato.
