Cabinet approves school bags for 37.7 lakh school children in State

The Jharkhand Council of Ministers today approved a proposal of providing school bags to 37.7 lakh children of classes 1 to 8 of government schools at an expenditure of Rs 57 crore. The decision came in the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Champai Soren here on Saturday.

A total of 53 proposals were passed in today’s cabinet meeting. Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel said that Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Rules 2024 have been constituted under the Planning Development Department under PPP mode

Jharkhand State Election Commissioner Rules 2024 amended. Under this, the age limit of the Election Commissioner has been fixed at 65 years instead of 64 years and his tenure will be 4 years instead of 3 years.

The State Rural Development Institute has been made autonomous. All those who were already working in it will remain; the name of the institute was changed to State Rural Development Panchayati Raj Institute.

Anganwadi and sub-centre will get the facility of gas refilling every quarter also approval of Rs 2 billion for rural water supply scheme in Sahibganj. Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, 91 Anganwadi centers will be opened in the primitive tribal areas of the state.

Jharkhand Bari monthly magazine will be published and distributed in Anganwadi centers of the state. Millet cultivation will be increased to 5 lakh hectares. Currently it is up to 40000 hectares. Presently a provision of Rs 50 crore has been made.

Administrative approval was given by the Urban Development and Housing Department for the Jamtara Urban District Supply Scheme at a cost of Rs 123 crore under the Atal Urban Development Scheme,

Approval was given to build roads in the Naxal free area Budha Pahad area under the Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana.

In Pakri Barwadih NTPC project, 220/30 KV transformer along with officers got approval of Rs 33 crore. Approval was given for construction of bridge in Angada, Rahe Path at a cost of Rs 112 crore.

The 35 km long Gola Muri road will be four-lane at Rs 333 crores and the number of 26 kms from Shankha to Khajuri will be reduced at Rs 194 crores.

Apart from this, many schemes worth several hundred crores of roads and bridges were approved. Old pension will be applicable in minority school non-government aided schools. A scheme of Rs 11 crore approved for cold storage of 5000 votes in Koderma district.

Rs 178 crore approved to widen Banta-Rahe Path road. Pradhan Mantri Bima Fasal Yojana will continue to be implemented.
