Vini Jhariya, from Samarth Psychotherapy Counselling Centre addressed the APSM faculty on the topic "Behavioural issues of children and their management and different disabilities in children" on 8 May 2024.

The speaker is specialized in assisting children facing emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges. She apprised about slow learners, XXY syndrome and how teachers can support these students by providing visual aids, breaking tasks into manageable chunks and fostering social inclusive environment.

About ADHD students who can be helped by implementing behaviour contacts and self-monitoring techniques. ODD students who can be helped by proper reinforcements.

The Behavioural Modification Techniques such as positive reinforcement, differential reinforcement, token economy system, self-monitoring and self-management were been explained with reference to Case Study.

She encouraged the teachers to provide a deep understanding of the complexities of the human mind and supporting students with behavioural issues.

In the workshop, the speaker enlightened on specific learning disabilities such as dyslexia, cerebral disorder, autism spectrum syndrome and approaches to meet the unique needs of children with special needs.

She briefed the teachers about various activities suggested for slow learners.  She stated that accept the sensitivity and need of special learners and consciously support them to lead a normal life. In her keynote address, she stated that facilitators can bring a great change in the life of these special students.

Vini Jhariya was felicitated with a memento as a token of appreciation for sharing his expertise in helping and supporting the students with special needs.
