A fire broke out in the control room of the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Co Ltd in Kondagaon district due to a thunderstorm on Tuesday night.
No injuries have been reported. The fire has been brought under control but half the city has lost power. The department is working to restore the power supply.
Prima facie, the fire broke out due to a short circuit in the control panel box.
The storm also blew out the roof of a boys school in the district.
