Poila Bishakh celebration by DWA
Poila Boishakh (Bengali New Year), a significant festival that celebrates Bengali culture and heritage was organised by the members of Doctors' Wives Association today at I M A Hall. Chairperson Vinita Sharan and Founder cum Co-Chairperson Jhooma Sarkar extended their warm wishes to one and all. President Shreela Choudhary welcomed the members. Jhooma Sarkar in her speech reminded everyone of the rich history and tradition to bring people together in a spirit of unity. The organisers won accolades for their wonderful performances. Members also enjoyed the Bengali cuisine served on the occasion.
SBPS students shine in Fit India Quiz
After exhibiting marvellous performance in the preliminary round of FIT INDIA QUIZ, Md. Ammaar Ahmad of Std. X and Abhishek Kumar Ayush of Std. XI of Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi were selected for the state round of FIT INDIA QUIZ. They secured 8th and 11th ranks respectively in the preliminary round and were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2000 each and the school was also awarded a cash prize of Rs. 15000. From the state of Jharkhand, 8 schools got selected out of 1500 schools. In the state level semi-final round, SBPS Ranchi got the 1st rank and qualified for the final round. In the final round of state level, the school secured the 3rd position. The students were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 3500 each and the school was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 32500. Principal, Paramjit Kaur, lauded the performance of the students and she remarked that participation in such competitions leads to the holistic development of the students.
WUIF organises Blood Donation Camp
Wake Up India Foundation in collaboration with Health Point Hospital organized a blood donation camp on 05/04/2024 at Khelgaon Housing Complex. More than 20 units of blood were successfully collected in this camp. This proved to be an important step for Wake Up India Foundation, which provides an important service to the society along with raising awareness about healthcare services. The enthusiasm and support shown by blood donors at the event will certainly encourage such initiatives in the days to come. Shivam Kumar, Ansh Raj Priyadarshini, Nihal Verma, Zayed Khan, Anushka and Sriparna played important roles in organizing this camp.
