Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata remembered on birth anniv at Jamadoba

The Jharia Division  of Tata Steel celebrated 185th birth anniversary of Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, the founder of Tata Steel on Sunday  with fervour at Janadoba  .

The day festivities began with garlanding the bust of the Founder at General Manager office by Narendra Kumar Gupta, Chief, Jamadoba Group and Mayank Shekhar, Chief Sijua Group Jharia Division Tata Steel. Several other officers, union representatives and employees of the Division joined him in paying homage to the Founder.

The Chief Guest of the occasion, Narendra Kumar Gupta elaborated on the value systems, our Founder has imbibed upon and that the Tata Group is committed to continue to uphold the legacy and values of J N Tata, informed Rajesh Thakur, spokesperson of company here.

Apart from this, several programs like flag off of the mobile public health unit (mPHU), drawing and quiz competition, sports and athletic games were organized for community members in Jamadoba and Sijua group by Tata Steel Foundation. 

The festivities continued in the evening at Sir Dorabji Tata Park, Jamadoba through the colorful display of lights, inaugurated by Sunita Rajoria and Sanjay Rajoria, General Manager Jharia Division Tata Steel. The Park was thrown open to the public from March 3 - 4, 2024, to commemorate the occasion. 

Present on the occasion were, Col. Bhawani Singh Nirwan, Head Administration, Aman, Head Engineering Services Jharia Division Tata Steel, union representatives and employees of the division.
