The Paradip unit of IFFCO commemorated the 53rd National Safety Week with a series of events and activities aimed at promoting safety awareness among its employees and workers.
Throughout the week, various programmes were organised, including demonstrations on the use of fire and safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and breathing apparatus sets across different departments. Additionally, safety talks were delivered by sectional heads of different departments to educate and inform the workforce about safety protocols.
As part of the safety initiatives, several competitions were held, including safety slogan, safety quiz, proper wearing of breathing apparatus sets, and drawing competitions. These competitions aimed to engage employees, their family members, children, and contract workers in safety awareness activities.
The culminating event took place on March 11, where Assistant Director of Factories and Boilers, Paradip Zone, Chandra Sekhar Behera graced the occasion as the chief guest. He delivered valuable speeches emphasizing the importance of safety awareness in the workplace.
Unit Head, KJ Patel, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of safety measures in ensuring a secure work environment. During the event, the chief guest distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions, acknowledging their contributions to promoting safety awareness.
