On the instructions of Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, K Ravi Kumar a 3-day training program has been organized for the Executive Magistrates, BDOs, COs, CDPOs from all the districts for the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. This training program was organized from Tuesday 27th February to Thursday 29th February in the auditorium of Jharkhand Education Project.

In the training programme, the officials from all the districts were not only given theoretical training through PPT but were also given practical training in the same manner as is expected from them during elections in their respective areas. During the training, many trainers including the Chief Electoral Officer gave detailed information on various topics and duties related to the Lok Sabha elections, and also established communication with all these regional officials and resolved their doubts.

During the workshop, detailed training was given on postal ballot, polling station management, responsibilities of sector officials, various IT applications, fake news etc. and other topics.

Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar told the officials present that all those officials will go to their respective areas and conduct awareness campaigns among the voters and motivate them to check their names in the voter list immediately or through the Voter Helpline App. Check through this medium so that there is no person who, despite being eligible, is deprived of voting on the day of voting due to his name not being in the list.

During name check, if you find any person whose name is not there, then get his name added immediately.

He said that the voters who check their names should take a photo along with the voter slip or voter list and post it on social media with the above hashtag so that other people are also inspired to do this work.

While concluding, he said that election work is a very serious matter where not a single mistake comes under the category of forgiveness, hence it is hoped that everyone will perform their tasks with full seriousness.
