Three accused of gangrape of a Spanish woman in Hansdiha, Dumka were presented in the court on Sunday, despite it being holiday. The victim foreign tourist woman and her husband were also presented in the judicial magistrate's court where the statements of both husband and wife are being recorded.

The Spanish woman, the victim of Friday's accident, has also expressed her pain on social media. The woman has told on social media that she was raped by seven people. After this, he was attacked several times with a helmet and stone and was badly injured. She also committed snatching. He is currently in the hospital in India and the police here is also present. The woman told that during this time she kept screaming for help, but no one came.

At around 11 pm on the night of the incident, the couple somehow reached the main road in the same condition. Meanwhile, the police patrol team that reached the spot stopped after seeing them on the roadside. After this they were interrogated. The couple were neither able to speak Hindi nor converse in English properly. Due to speaking Spanish, the police team did not understand anything at first. Seeing both of them injured, the police suspected that some untoward incident had happened. Both were immediately taken to Saraiyahat. Later the woman informed that seven people had raped her. As soon as the information was received, the police, on the basis of appearance and input, arrested three criminals involved in the incident.
 On the seventh day of the Jharkhand Assembly budget session, MLAs from the ruling party and the opposition created a ruckus in the House to discuss the gang rape of a Spanish woman in Dumka and the Prime Minister's statement. When the House proceedings started again at 12.04, BJP MLAs came to the Well and created ruckus over the gang rape of a Spanish woman in Dumka whereas JMM MLA, Sudivya Sonu demanded a special discussion in the House on the Prime Minister's statement. After this, MLAs from the ruling party and the opposition started raising slogans in the well. Due to the uproar, the proceedings of the House were adjourned till 2 pm.

The case of gang rape of a foreign woman in Dumka also echoed in the budget session of Jharkhand Assembly. MLA Amit Mandal raised this issue and said that such incident has brought bad name to Jharkhand in the whole world. He said that this incident tarnished the reputation of the State in the Country and abroad. He also demanded immediate removal of Dumka SP. He said that the Government should take strict action in this matter and no one should be spared.
