Popularise e-seva kendra to ensure accessible justice in the state

There is a need to popularize e-service centers up to the Panchayat level in order to provide easy access to justice to the common people in the state. The information available on the dashboard should be used as much as possible. This will lead to better results in the judicial process. These instructions were given today in the meeting of Computer and E-Court Committee at RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration Academy, Bhopal. The meeting took place in the presence of Justice Rohit Arya and Justice Dharmadhikari. Projects related to e-court were discussed with officials of various departments of the state government in the meeting.

It was informed in the meeting that e-seva centers are working in 21 thousand gram panchayats in the state where all court related necessary information is being made available to the general public under one roof. While reviewing the Medlepar project in the meeting, it was told that this software which has been prepared from 26 January 2019, arrangements have been made to provide information related to post mortem and MLC online. There is a facility of virtual court with the provision for issuing e-challan for traffic regulation.

In a discussion on the dashboard prepared by Madhya Pradesh High Court, it was told that complete information related to court cases is being uploaded on the dashboard from regularly. What is needed is that they should be used for speedy judicial process. It was told in the meeting that the work of e-summons warrant is going on as a pilot project in Khandwa district. Soon it will be implemented at the state level.

Emphasis on publicity

Instructions were given in the meeting to publicize the e-court system. The facilities available in e-seva centers in the state should be publicized in regional and folk languages. It was told in the meeting that social media platforms will be used to provide access to these facilities to the general public.

Maximize use of Hindi in court work

It was decided in the meeting that maximum work in the judicial process should be done in Hindi. Arrangements have been made to give copies of the decisions given in English in the court in Hindi. This information should be given to the general public. It was told in the meeting that the Samadhan Aapke Dwar programme is yielding better results in the state. Various government officials were instructed to update the dashboard on the status of cases related to their departments. Senior officials of various departments were present in the meeting. The meeting was co-ordinated by Central Project Co-ordinator FH Kazi, In-charge Principal Secretary Law Umesh Pandav and Additional Secretary Bharat Vyas.
