Young Congress leader Pradeep Mohapatra has been appointed as Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary by the AICC president.
A follower of Gandhian and Gopabandhu ideology, Pradeep started his political career in the Bhubaneswar District Congress as a ward president and then as district secretary and district general secretary in early 2000s. Then, he moved to the PCC in 2009 and was later appointed as OPCC protocol coordinator, OPCC secretary four times and OPCC media coordinator.
Pradeep is associated with various social organisations. He has thanked OPCC President Sarat Pattanayak and AICC-in-charge Dr Ajoy Kumar for giving him the new responsibility. He has said that he will discharge his new responsibility with full dedication and commitment.
