With an aim to promote hygiene among women with easy accessibility of the sanitary napkins, a manufacturing unit of sanitary napkins was inaugurated at Bhelatand by Sunita Rajoria,.
Other guests Mousumi Das, Divya Thakur, Shikha Saha, Preeti Nirwan, Mili Singh, Sonia Aman and Manpreet Taraporewalla were present . This unit is facilitated by the Jharia Division of Tata Steel Foundation, told Rajesh Thakur spokesperson here .
The manufacturing unit aims to make good quality sanitary pads under the Brand Name Be Fresh (Soft & Safe) at an affordable rate to boost women’s menstrual hygiene. The Sanitary pad enterprise will support the group of 32 women which is registered under the Udyam initiative of Government of India with the name of Pragati Mahila Udyam.
The chief guest Sunita Rajoria, appreciated the efforts taken by Tata Steel Foundation for this innovative and market driven income enhancement project which will not only help the economic independence of women but will also promote menstrual hygiene among them. The support provided by Tata Steel in setting up the unit was also lauded.
Col. Bhawani Singh Niwan, Head Administration, Sanjeev Thakur, Head Sijua Colliery, Jharia Division Tata Steel, Rajesh Kumar – Unit Lead Tata Steel Foundation and other officers of Tata Steel and Tata Steel Foundation also were part present on the occasion.
