Spanish tourist leaves for Nepal, praises State police action

Wednesday, 06 March 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

The Spanish tourist and her husband who became victims of the brutal incident in Dumka today left for Nepal via Bihar amid tight security. Police have arrested all the eight accused and sent them to jail. The victim, a Spanish woman, praised the quick action of Jharkhand Police and also gave advice to those who tarnished the image of India through this incident.

The tourist said that not every Indian is the same. She has been in India for the last 6 months and people have treated her very well. The woman said that:  “I will not hold the Indian people responsible for this incident, they have been very good to us. We have been here for about 6 months and they have always taken care of me and helped us. The criminals who gang-raped me should be given severe punishment so that they never dare to do the same to anyone else. Such punishment should be given that those who commit such acts think twice.”

Meanwhile, Police have arrested all eight accused in the gang rape case and sent them to jail after legal formalities.

The victim said that the people of India are good but my allegation is only for the culprits. The police here have done a good job and took prompt action. The victim said that incidents keep happening in life but this journey continues. My journey will also continue on my previously decided route.
