35-year-old trader commits suicide

A 35-year-old businessman committed suicide by shooting himself with his licenced gun on Tuesday. The deceased who had been suffering from depression for the last many days was identified as Ajabpur resident and Bhura Chicken shop owner Rohit Kumar.

Police recovered his body and sent it for post mortem examination. Nehru Colony police said that police reached the spot at around 7 am after being informed about this incident. As per family members, Kumar had reached home on Monday late night in a depressed state and slept after dinner without talking much with his family members.

In the morning at around 6am, a gun shot was heard from his room. Family members rushed to the room and found his body on the bloodied bed. The family took him to the Doon Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
