Bhatt not happy with slow pace of development in State

Friday, 28 February 2014 | PNS | Dehradun

After demanding resignation of Cabinet Minister Dr Harak Singh Rawat, the leader of opposition in the Vidhan Sabha Ajay Bhatt expressed his concern over the slower pace of development in Uttarakhand.

He said that the Congress-led State Government is yet to take effective measures for redressing the grievances of all those villagers who faced the brunt of natural calamities in the last year.

He lamented that the state government is yet to take effective measures for pushing the state further on the path of development.

He also said that villagers who are living in the hilly areas of the State are forced to traverse kilometers for basic needs like potable water, school and medical and

health facilities and the condition of roads in the hilly areas of Garhwal and Kumaon division of the State is very poor.

After claiming that people of Uttarakhand will surely cast their votes in the favour of BJP's candidates, Bhatt said that voters are nowstarted feeling cheated

due to the anti people policies introduced by UPA and UPA-II during its rule in the Centre.

According to him, it has turned extremely difficult for the common man to survive as the prices of essential commodities are continuously increasing across the country and the Government is completely failed on all fronts in the Centre and the State as well.
