Boys outshine girls in Bhopal

The boys showcased an outstanding performance in the much-awaited class XII Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) results in the state capital that were declared on Wednesday.

The CBSE results for Ajmer region brought a sigh of relief for the students who were eagerly waiting for their results. As compared to last year, the boys outshined girls this year by scoring more than 97 per cent marks.

Deepak Kinra of Campion Boys School scored 98 per cent marks securing overall first position while Saumil Jain of St Joseph’s Co-ed Arera Hills bagged overall second position by scoring 97.4 per cent marks and third position was secured by D Shrivastava of Delhi Public School with 97.2 per cent marks.

The results were declared on the websites, 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time but due to slow server problem, the students saw their results at around noon.

It is pertinent to mention here that as many as 10,000 students from the State capital appeared for the CBSE XII board examinations.

Meanwhile, as the private schools showcased wonderful results, the Government schools displayed a poor performance. The students of all the four Government schools of the State capital did not stand out this year. Though the students secured good marks yet they could not managed to secure their place in the toppers list.

The topper’s percentage at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) 1 was 95 per cent while at KV 2 it was 93.8 per cent and at KV 3 it was 94.6 per cent.

The candidates who have failed to clear the exams would have to appear for the compartment exams and would be provided with three chances to qualify the same.
