CWC recommends 'child welfare booth' at Koderma railway station

The Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of Koderma unit has sent a recommendation letter to Divisional Rail Manager (DRM) of Dhanbad division through Koderma station Manager to form a ‘child welfare booth’ at Koderma railway station. The committee has taken the decision having concise of child trafficking from the district.

The committee has mentioned in the letter that the district has identified as highly sensitive for child trafficking and the traffickers’ uses mostly the rail route for the purpose and such booths were formed at many stations.

Mamta Singh district chairman and Rajkumar Sinha, Manoj Dangi, Satyendra Singh the

members of the committee sent a letter to Inspector Genral(I G) also comprising the report related to child  trafficking.

Sinha member of the committee said case of trafficking was identified months ago and committee arranged for their rescue and rehabilitation. Committee is enquiring about the unidentified cases.
